Are you a student in Nijmegen? Do you love gymnastics? Then KUNST is definitely the association for you to join! It doesn’t matter if you have done gymnastics for as long as you can remember, or you have never done a cartwheel before, everybody is welcome at KUNST! Apart from the the fun you have at the trainings, we also have a lot of fun at our activities. Send an email to bestuur@turnverenigingkunst.nl and we will contact you as soon as possible! You can sign up immediately or join us for a day of free training first. At the beginning of the academic year we also have open training sessions so you can try it out once!

Open practices

Twice a year the Radboud Sports Center (RSC) has sports card free weeks. During these weeks everyone can train with us, whether you have a sports card or not. These weeks usually take place in September and February. At the moment open practices are planned on the 7th, 10th, 21st and 24th of September. You can sign up via this form, see you soon!

Membership

At KUNST, we have several memberships:

KUNST-member

For a membership with KUNST it is mandatory that you have a RSC student membership. With the RSC membership it is also possible to practice other sports at the RSC. A student membership for the academic year 2025-2026 costs €199. You can also have a RSC monthly membership. There is a fixed membership for €22,50 per month and a flexible membership for €28,50 per month. Even if you aren’t a student, it is possible to become a member. In that case you can send an e-mail to the board to discuss the possibilities. You can get the student sport membership here.

Within KUNST there are two kinds of memberships you can sign up for. These costs accumulate with the costs for the student sport membership from the RSC:

  • A membership for a year. This costs €49 per year. If you want to sign up you can fill in the yearly membership form and e-mail it to the board. You can also fill one out at practice.
  • A membership for half a year. This is a possibility if you want to become a member from February till September. Then, in September, you can decide whether you want a membership for a year. A membership for half a year costs €25,50 and you can sign up via the half-yearly entry form (available from February on).

Beneficiary

If you are no longer a student, you can only take out a membership as a beneficiary/patron (begunstiger). As a former KUNST member, you can still join us for 3 years at the price of a student, after which you also become a patron. A patron pays a higher price and does not have voting rights in the ALV. Patronage costs €166 per year, you can fill in the patron membership and e-mail it to the board to sign up.

Please note: Even if you discontinue your studies early or take a gap year (without having a diploma), you will still become a patron.

Vriend van KUNST

As a VVK, you are welcome to all KUNST activities and drinks, but you are not allowed to attend the training sessions. For example, you can become a VVK if you really like the group, but gymnastics does not suit you. Also, if you have been a member of KUNST but no longer have the time/ability to do gymnastics, you can become a VVK, so you can still join your KUNST friends for all activities. A VVK membership starts at €17.50 per year. You can register via the registration form. For €5 each time, you can sign up for the Sunday gymnastics training under the heading ‘training’.

VVKs can as of this year get benefits from a new punch card system. For the price of €20, you can buy 5 entries to a Sunday training, which saves you €5! If you are interested in this, please contact the board at bestuur@turnverenigingkunst.nl.
